Review

Simple Entry-Level Cashback with Minimal Commitment

The PB Quantum Visa Credit Card is designed as a low-barrier, no-annual-fee option for everyday spending. With a minimum annual income requirement of RM36,000 and lifetime fee waiver for both principal and supplementary cards, it carries virtually zero holding cost.

The card offers 1% cashback on contactless transactions, subject to a minimum RM100 per transaction and a monthly cap of RM20. While easy to understand, the cap significantly limits total rebate potential, making it more suitable for light, occasional usage rather than structured optimisation.

For other spending, the card earns 1x VIP Point locally and 2x VIP Points overseas, with points valid for three years. However, the accumulation rate is modest and not positioned for aggressive miles strategies.

Verdict: A straightforward entry-tier card that works as a backup or starter option. It offers simple contactless cashback without fees, but the low cap and limited rewards structure mean it is no longer a standout in its segment.

  • Supports Google Pay and Samsung Pay

Cons

  • Minimum RM100 per transaction required for cashback
  • VIP Points earning rate is relatively weak
  • Limited reward potential compared to newer cashback cards
