Review

Designed for Loyal Petron Drivers

The PB-Petron Visa Gold Credit Card is a straightforward co-branded fuel card tailored for drivers who consistently refuel at Petron service stations. With a low minimum annual income requirement of RM24,000 and a lifetime annual fee waiver, it carries virtually no holding cost.

The card offers a tiered cashback structure of up to 5% on fuel and non-fuel purchases at Petron stations. To unlock the maximum 5% rebate, monthly spending at Petron must exceed RM800, with the total cashback capped at RM50 per month. This makes it most rewarding for drivers who consolidate most of their fuel spending at Petron.

All other local and overseas retail purchases earn an unlimited 0.1% cashback (Cash MegaBonus), which is negligible and unlikely to influence spending strategy.

The card also includes complimentary Personal Accident Insurance coverage up to RM20,000, and supports Google Pay and Samsung Pay for contactless convenience.

Verdict: A practical, no-fee fuel card for committed Petron users. Outside of Petron spending, rewards are minimal, so it works best as a specialised petrol card rather than a primary everyday card.
